The numbers, in context
In 2025, around 1.53 million new cars were registered in Italy, while the used market saw over 5.5 million ownership transfers. Counting net purchases, that adds up to roughly 4.7 million cars bought in a single year.
The used-to-new ratio is about 2.1 to 1: for every new car registered, over two used ones are bought. With a circulating fleet of more than 40 million vehicles, replacement demand is structural and constant, well beyond incentive cycles.
Where Climbid plays
Climbid doesn't sell cars and holds no inventory: it operates at the moment of the transaction, where inefficiency dominates today. Every purchase is an opportunity where structured competition among dealers can create value for the buyer and sustainable margin for the platform.
